OpenAL iPhone Simulator Sound Fix

Many people are having problems with OpenAL sound in the simulator. Here is the fix that I found.

Launch : Audio MIDI Setup.app
/Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup.app

And change 48000.0khz to 44100.0 khz, and that should do the trick.

Advertise your apps in Apple Store (HACK?)

So you want to get your iPad/iPhone app seen? I just got back from taking a look at the iPad at the Apple store and Best Buy, and I found that you CAN NOT hold down on an app icon and allow you to delete and or rearrange the icons. So I asked why not? And both the Apple and Best Buy employees will tell you that you have to do this when you sync your iPad with iTunes. Oddly enough the iPad sim allows you to rearrange the icons and delete them. Maybe this is only on the in-store iPads, better yet! So I then thought whats stopping me from going to my apps website (www.beat-bots.com) in safari and then clicking the plus (+) button and “Add to Home Screen” 10, 20, or 30 times, on all the devices in the store. This would definitely piss them off, and you might get kicked out if they figure it out. But unless they want to bring the ipads in the back room and remove all the icons you added for your app then your in business. Now everyone who picks up this magical device will see all your icons and want to tap them and see what its all about.

Beat bots supports Multi-touch and is incredibly responsive.

Beat Bots 2.0 is now a universal application, and is optimized to run on the iPhone, iPod Touch, and now the iPad.

We rebuilt the sound engine and the entire user interface.

Now you can play over your iPod music, set the delay time between bot loops, adjust the pitch and more!

BEATS: Single beat
LOOPS: Loop the beat
KILL ALL: Kill all currently playing sounds
DELAY: Delays the LOOPS time
PITCH: Adjusts the pitch for all sounds
VOLUME: Adjusts the volume for all beats
(not iPod music)

We are working on our next update, jumping from 1.6 to 2.0! The 2.0 release will be a universal application, supported by the iPhone, iPod Touch, and the new iPad. One app, three devices, one low price.
